ProSkills Training Payment Information

ProSkills Training Payment Information:

Candidates are conditionally enrolled in Hakomi Proskills when an Application to attend has been officially accepted by Toronto Hakomi Education Network. Conditional enrollees must submit a minimum monetary deposit of $500 towards (not in addition to) full workshop tuition no less than 45 days prior to the scheduled start of the training and secure a payment plan for the remaining balance of tuition, or pay in full, in order to officially secure their seat.

Enrollees have the option to submit a deposit in excess of the minimum required amount or pay their tuition in full prior to the start of the training if they so choose.

Payment plans for tuition are calculated after the minimum deposit has been secured along with any additional payments made to date.  The remaining tuition balance is due in accordance with the following payment schedule, to a total (including the deposit) of $3,580.00

Payment is accepted by cash, cheque, bank draft, or by electronic bank transfer. All fees listed above include HST, if applicable.

In the event an enrollee/participant makes tuition payments via bank draft or electronic bank transfer or receives a tuition refund (full or partial) via electronic bank transfer as a result of cancelling or withdrawing their enrollment, enrollee/participant will be exclusively liable for paying any fees related to the transaction(s). In the event there are insufficient funds available to cover a cheque, or the cheque is withdrawn, the enrollee/participant is also liable for paying any fees related to the transaction(s).

Training Refund Policy

Enrolling in Hakomi ProSkills is a commitment on several levels, one of which is financial. Participants are expected to attend for the duration of the training for which they are enrolled and to make tuition payments on time, although certain factors may necessitate a cancellation or withdrawal. Partial refunds may be available to participants who cancel their registration or withdraw their enrollment from ProSkills, provided they adhere to the Refund Policy, as follows:

Full refund, less $20.00 Administration Fee for any cancellation prior to 45 days before the workshop. 25% refund for any cancellation received prior to 30 days before the workshop. No refund for cancellation received after 30 days pre-workshop.

A participant’s withdrawal or cancellation from Hakomi ProSkills is only considered official if and when the participant submits written notice to one of the organizers.

Minimum Enrollment

A minimum enrollment threshold for paying participants is set for ProSkills training. In order to ensure both financial viability and adequate class size for the best possible learning experience, ProSkills training will commence as scheduled only if the minimum threshold is met or exceeded no less than 45 days prior to the scheduled start, or as otherwise approved by Toronto Hakomi Education Network.

The minimum enrollment threshold for Toronto Hakomi ProSkills training is 12 participants, however this number is subject to change.

The organizers may still not officially confirm workshop commencement until the 45 day deadline, even if student enrollment exceeds the minimum threshold prior to that date. Workshop dates, times, locations, and trainers are subject to change only if absolutely necessary, and participants will be contacted in due time if any changes are made. The organizers will disseminate status of workshop commencement to all officially enrolled participants by e-mail no less than 45 days prior to the scheduled start. Participants are instructed not to make any travel arrangements until official notice from the organizers regarding workshop commencement is received.

Workshop participants should contact one of the two organizers before making travel arrangements to attend the first scheduled workshop date.

Workshop Postponement

In the event the minimum enrollment for a workshop is not exceeded by the 45 day deadline, Toronto Hakomi Education Network reserves the right to postpone or cancel said workshop. All officially enrolled participants will be notified in due time via e-mail if the workshop in which they are enrolled is postponed or cancelled.

In the event a workshop is postponed, Toronto Hakomi Education Network may attempt to reschedule workshop dates to allow more time to increase enrollment and exceed the minimum threshold. Some of the originally scheduled workshop dates may remain intact, new dates may also be added, and all officially enrolled participants may remain on the workshop roster if they so choose.

Participants enrolled in a workshop that has been postponed are eligible to receive a full refund of any tuition payments including the deposit but excluding the $20 nonrefundable application fee.

Review Process

The Hakomi ProSkills Application may be found on the website. Applications are carefully reviewed for admission according to the following factors:

  • Educational and training background
  • Clinical and professional experience
  • Reasons for attending
  • Group dynamic
  • Enrollment availability

Additional requirements or information may be requested from applicants, including an interview with one or more organizers in person or via Skype. Applicants who did not attend one of the introductory workshops in September or October of 2017 may be asked to engage in a Hakomi-related session with a senior trainer. The purpose of this is to bring all applicants up to a minimum level of understanding of Hakomi before the first set of ProSkills workshops begins in March 2018. The session will last between 45 and 60 minutes and will be held via Skype or Zoom. The cost for this is $100.00 payable directly to the senior trainer who guides you through the session.
