Embodied Mindfulness

Hakomi ProSkills

Hakomi ProSkills professional training, Toronto, starting March 2018

Are you a seeking a way to help your clients connect more fully with themselves? Are you already practicing mindfulness, yoga, or another somatic or meditative practice as a personal lifestyle choice and want to extend your learning in this area to encompass your work? Have you sometimes wished your work was more nourishing for you?

Hakomi ProSkills is specifically designed for those experienced in a helping profession. The Hakomi Method is presented fully but there is less practice time within each training session as compared to a non-ProSkills Hakomi training.

Examples of helping professionals who may benefit from ProSkills training:

  • Psychotherapists
  • Psychologists
  • Social Workers
  • Mental Health Workers
  • Yoga Teachers
  • Clergy
  • Massage Therapists
  • Body/Mind Workers
  • Acupuncturists
  • Chiropractors
  • Psychiatrist
  • GP Psychotherapists
  • Naturopathic Doctors
  • Doctors of Chinese Medicine

Following the completion of ProSkills training, participants will receive a certificate stating the total number of completed training hours. Certification as a Hakomi practitioner requires an additional period of time practicing under the supervision of a certified Hakomi trainer. This process may take place in person, by Skype, or via video-taped sessions. The time it takes for certification varies widely (from one to ten years) depending on each trainee’s level of competence, aptitude, and experience with the Hakomi method.

Toronto Hakomi is offering ProSkills training beginning in March 2018. This is an exceptional opportunity to train with two of the seven Hakomi legacy holders. Donna Martin and Georgia Marvin are senior Hakomi international trainers who offer a high calibre training experience.
